PSHE
At St Andrews, we believe that education in PSHE and Citizenship enables children to become healthier, more independent and more responsible members of society. We encourage our pupils to play a positive role in contributing to the life of the school and the wider community.

Through PSHE, (Personal, Social and Health Education), we teach children interpersonal skills, how to stay safe and healthy, the importance of diet and exercise and the risks involved in the use of harmful substances.

Our policy on SRE, (Sex and Relationships Education) follows the recommendations of the London Diocesan Board of Education and includes the right of parents to request the withdrawal of their children from specific lessons. Children are taught a programme, in the Summer Term of each academic year as part of the PSHE curriculum. This is within a moral framework related to the age and maturity of the children.
