Welcome to our school
St Andrew’s is a small, friendly, one form entry Church of England school where everyone is committed to providing the best possible learning opportunities for our children. Our children start here in Reception and are warmly welcomed into our learning community through and extensive induction package.
We are very proud of our school and would be happy to show you around so you can see for yourself the benefits of having your child at St Andrew’s.
Our website provides up to date information on our school, its aims and activities. It is designed to give you ongoing information about our school and to see all the exciting things going on.
Our Vision
Our vision is to provide a high quality education where high expectations, inclusive approaches and excellent teaching and learning form the basis of all our work. Our children will be encouraged to have a positive attitude to learning and achieve their full potential while working within a caring Christian environment. We will create a culture of achievement for all.
We are committed to providing stimulating learning activities that will ensure our children leave St Andrew’s with the skills and knowledge that will prepare them for life long learning. We will do this by fostering a love for learning, self confidence and respect for others: while we work in partnership with parents, our Church ministry and the local community.
St Andrew’s is a Successful School where we provide;
- a curriculum which gives the school a distinct identity and ethos
- a learning place where all resources are used flexibly and imaginatively
- no tension between high standards and exciting learning
- strong commitment to help all children to succeed through support and challenge
- a broad, balanced curriculum with high quality learning that is planned and managed
- engagement in learning opportunities that develop, stretch and excite the imagination
- planned learning in different ways and from a range of people involved in schools
- strong partnerships with partners and the community
