Design Technology

Art is an essential part of the curriculum, providing children with the In DT children are encouraged to work with a variety of materials to design and make products to test, evaluate and improve upon their ideas. This practical approach encourages children to apply knowledge learnt in other curriculum areas, as well as giving them the opportunity to think logically and develop their communication skills through collaborative work.

We teach DT on two consecutive days each term, which the children all look forward to. We encourage parents to get involved in all stages of the design and make process and the children share their work in a subsequent Showcase Assembly.
